If there’s one thing I would say is an absolute must for any new parent, it’s make sure you get plenty decent photographs. I write this post more than a month after Phoebe was born, and it’s mind boggling how quickly the time goes. Every moment is precious and should be cherished. In the digital age of smartphones and the internet we live in, taking plenty snaps of your little one has never been easier. If you’re an iPhone user, pay 79p a month for an iCloud storage upgrade, believe me you’ll need it!!
The real reason I write this post though is to recommend finding a professional photographer to take a few high quality photos. Luckily my sister’s better half is a photographer (and a damn good one at that) and offered to do a shoot at our home, in return for a slap up meal out (which we still owe you Paul, sorry!). Doing the shoot at home was perfect as it meant we were in familiar surroundings which made things a bit easier as Phoebe was more settled. Me and wifey came up with some ideas of what we wanted to do, used a duvet as a backdrop and a few hours later the camera was full and we were ready to see the finished product! A top tip if you do this yourself – put an electric blanket underneath your backdrop to keep baby nice and warm.
I’m not going to share all the pictures here, but I will share one with a recommendation that anyone in West Yorkshire who wants a baby photo shoot to check out Paul Buckham on his website or on Instagram
